Gothic Aristocrat in the Snowstorm

Snow! In Houston, it does not snow very often. The last time it snowed was a few years ago in 2021. That was a disaster, but this time the gird held up yay! Today on January 21, the third largest snowstorm hit Houston.

As I stated on my Bluesky 10 days ago, I’ve always been in awe of photos of lolitas in the snow. Well, my wish actually came true! I finally got to take photos in the snow! My area received about 3-4 inches. In total, I’ve probably seen snow here about 4-5 times now? Never this much though!

The goal was to wear either kuro or shiro. At first I went with shiro, but it turns out I somehow lost my only pair of white socks. So I opted with plan B to wear all black. I wanted to keep the silhouette sleek and simple in order to contrast the white fluffiness of the snow. I also wanted to wear lolita with the standard knee length, but I kept thinking about how cold my legs were going to be. In the end, I decided to be reasonable and wear a long gothic skirt instead. Not that chiffon is actually warm, but still.
