Happy AAPI month! In America, May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) heritage month. If you’re in Houston, celebrate this month by supporting local AAPI restaurants while benefiting a non-profit with a good cause. The Houston AAPI Restaurant Weeks campaign returns for its 4th year with an even bigger list of participating restaurants and deals.
About Houston AAPI Restaurant Weeks
Houston AAPI Restaurant Weeks starts May 1 and ends June 15, spanning a total of 6 weeks. This project is organized by the non-profit organization OCA-Greater Houston. For every QR code sold, proceeds will go to buying rice for low income seniors and future OCA activities. The goal for the AAPI Restaurant weeks is to raise $7,500 worth of rice.
How it Works
To get started in participating the event, follow these easy steps:
- Patrons purchase the AAPI Restaurant Weeks QR code for $25 here.
- Customers arrive at restaurant/establishment showing a QR Code to redeem deal.
- That’s it and enjoy your meal!
Every restaurant will have their own unique deal to offer. All offers can be seen on the official site. This is an incredibly great deal while benefiting a good cause. You can easily make back what you spent in just one or a few visits to some of these restaurants.

From boba shops to omakase, these food spots cover a spectrum of different AAPI cuisines including Vietnamese, Taiwanese, Japanese, Filipino, Thai, Korean, and Indian foods.
