Golden Bomber Goes Gothic in Yokubou no Uta PV

Golden Bomber is a visual kei parody band who make a lot of goofy songs. What better way to pay homage to those who started the visual movement by cosplaying the visual kei legends themselves? Golden Bomber’s 欲望の歌/Yokubou no Uta PV takes us back to the glorious 90’s era of visual kei making references to the founding fathers of visual kei: Malice Mizer, Lareine, X Japan, Dir en Grey, and more.

One of many odes to Malice Mizer, they’re ironically wearing custom pieces by Atelier Boz instead of Mana’s brand Moi Meme Moitie.

Who wore it better?

By the way, if you’re looking for a good ringlet wig for old school lolita, you can buy the one Yutaka wears over on Maple Wig.

How many iconic scenes were you able to recognize? If you need to brush up on your visual kei history, watch these music videos. The Golden Bomber video references these iconic visual kei songs.
