The iconic Japanese sci-fi anime Neon Genesis Evangelion is known for their endless merchandise collaborations. Surprisingly, the series’s merchandising team is quite fashion savvy. They have their own clothing and home goods shop, RADIO EVA, where their original label clothing and collaborations sell out quickly. In the past, Evangelion collaborated with big name fashion labels such as FILA, Anna Sui, ZOZOTOWN, GU, and glamb.
Now Evangelion just announced a second collaboration with popular sweets accessories brand Q-pot. with a collection called “MELTY IMPACT!” Q-pot. is famous for its dessert-themed jewelry.

This is the second collaboration between Neon Genesis Evangelion and Q-pot. With over 20 pieces, this collection adds more unique character-inspired accessories! These designs are based on the Rebuild of Evangelion movies.
A.T. Field Gummy Candy Necklace
This necklace is inspired by the A.T. Field and designed to look and feel like a protection amulet. An imprint of the Tree of Life rests on the back.

Red Sea Blue Sea Melt Ring／L.C.L. Melt Ring
The melt ring is one of Q-pot.’s iconic designs. The red and blue colorway represents the colors of the sea before and after the second impact. The orange x yellow colorway represents L.C.L., the liquid that fills the Eva’s cockpit.

Fork of Cassius Necklace
The Spear of Cassius is a weapon wielded by the Evangelion Mark.06 and its pilot Kaworu Nagisa. Q-Pot put a punny twist to the spear by calling it a fork. The necklace features a blue heart pendant pierced by the Spear of Cassius and surrounded by a ring modeled after the Mark.06’s halo.

The 4th Angel Macaron
The 4th Angel is popular among fans because of his charming appearance. Q-pot. made his white face and black body into macaron shells. The red Swarovski crystal represents his core. Although these aren’t edible, Q-pot. states the flavor is black sesame. The macaron design is available as a necklace or bag charm.

Asuka’s Puppet Sugar Cookie
Asuka Shikinami Langley pilots the Evangelion Unit-02. Her companion is a cute hand puppet dressed in a bright red hooded costume with blue eyes. Q-pot. transformed the puppet into a realistic sugar cookie with soft and sugary details. The puppet design is available as a necklace or bag charm.

Which one is your favorite? I think Rei’s postcard is the most realistic with the white chocolate x caramel combo, but the gold and blue background for Kaoru looks really good.
Sales and Reservation Period
Sales began in stores on January 20, 2021. If you missed the chance to purchase the items in store, don’t worry! Reservations in-store and online stay open until February 7, 2021 with an anticipated delivery date at the end of May 2021.
