EGA for Moi Meme Moitie Virtual Tea Party

Back in 2020, the Moi Meme Moitie overseas manager hosted a series of official online tea parties for Moitie fans to connect with each other since in-person events weren’t happening. The applications went up on Instagram. From what I remember, there were a few different time slots across 2 days to accommodate for time zone differences. Luckily, I made it into one!

I decided to wear EGA inspired by visual kei since I figured most of the other attendees would wear EGL. Since Zoom only shows the top half of people, we were encouraged to send in the full body photos in advance, so other attendees could see the whole coord.

It was my first time (and only time) attending a virtual tea party. I think there were 10 or 15 attendees in the room along with the manager. We played hangman and showed off our favorite Moitie items. My favorite item is the Moi meme Moitie Candelabra Scalloped Choker since it it so versatile. Also a little history about it that It was also the last item I bought directly from Moitie before they were bought by Wunderwelt.

To play in with the visual kei styling, I tried out this DreamHolic wig in purple and blue. I styled with sujimori and some side braids. Not bad for my first time braiding a wig. Mana didn’t attend, but I wanted to bring out the blues for the Moitie’s signature color.

Extra photos

It was lovely getting to some other gothic fans for an hour or two! I was so nervous since I don’t usually chat over video.
