2025 J-fashion Goals

Happy new year! With my 2024 recap done, now I’ll discuss my goals for 2025! Here are 9 goals I hope to accomplish throughout the rest of the year:

Blogging

Write 3 blog posts per month with at least 1 being an outfit post.
I’ve been neglecting on editing and uploading coord pics and they’re taking up too much space on my hard drive. I would also like to get back on joining the Bibliotheca themes suggested by Bay Area Kei.

Redesign the home page.
I have a nicer picture now, so the home page needs to be refreshed.

Online Communities

Reach 4,000 item entries on Lolibrary.
I’m currently at 3,668 items, so I only need to enter in 332 more items.

Be more social.
I want to make an effort to be more social on social media as it was intended. Instagram made it hard to connect since I don’t like using it anymore because there’s too many videos. I love a good text-based and low stakes platform, so let’s follow each other on Twitter or Bluesky!

Closet

Remove pieces that no longer fit.
Bodies change, some pieces must leave the closet. My pain tolerance isn’t as high as it used to be.

Support more indie brands.
I like a fun little piece.

Amplify the wa.
In my recap, I mentioned in my recap that I discovered Sou Sou and Misamaru which are 2 brands that focus on creating modern looks with traditional Japanese elements. I’ve dipped my toes with wa gothic and would like to continue learning more about kimono and such.

Other

Complete 5 more sessions of Japanese lessons.
In my teens and 20s, I’ve been really on and off about learning Japanese. I finally kicked myself into gear and started running through lessons through the Japan America Society of Houston. I just finished the 203 lesson last month. By the end of 2025, I hope to finish 204, 205, 301, 302, and 303. I’ve really learned a lot!

Get my photos organized.
I got better about physical hoarding, but now I’ve got to work on my digital space. I love taking photos, but organization is not my strong suit. We gotta fix that ASAP because your girl’s laptop is getting full.
