5/22 is Kuya from Nu:Carnival‘s birthday! Kuya is a fox yokai with a wickedly devious personality. He’s also my favorite character from the game.
To celebrate, we made inarizushi. Since the official Animate Cafe Taiwan’s Nu:Carnival cafe decided his dish would be inari sushi, so did we. I tried to make one shaped like a sleeping fox. Since his color is purple, we colored the rice using a mix of food coloring and shiso powder.
